The Installation Commission will guide us as we transition to the new administrative structure, in accordance with the new Organic Structure of the Customs Authority (Decree Law 2/ 2020). This commission will provide high level guidance on: the strategic vision for the Customs Authority; workforce planning and advice on the number of personnel required to fulfil the strategic mandate of the organization; recruitment of senior management and officer positions; and targeted training and development of employees.
We are committed to working with the government and other external stakeholders to make the Customs Authority a modern and efficient agency. We have already made great progress, but there is still more work to do.
The Customs Authority Commissioner is supported by a Technical Customs Council (TCC), who provide technical opinions and advice on tariff classifications, valuation and origin on imported goods, during or after clearance.
